Cameron County Commissioners on Tuesday again listened to residents concerned about the DHS’s proposed border fence. At least one resident said after the fence is built, it will eventually come down. The same could be said for the county’s current levee system. One resident said a portion of the levee, which had recently been worked on by the IBWC had already started to erode just after a few inches of rain. If a few inches of rain could bring down parts of a levee, I wonder if torrential rains could bring down the border fence. This would definitely have residents “Singing in the rain.”
Just get City Public Works to maintain it.
