You don’t have to sit in court very long to find out that at times there is animosity between defense attorneys and state prosecutors.
There the looks and glares and then the cocky remarks.
Such was the case at a recent court hearing for accused child killer John Allen Rubio Jr.
Before the hearing, attorneys on both sides traded jabs.
On one had, you had the state commenting on a book read by a defense attorney titled ‘How to Win A Case.”
He more or less questioned if this was how the defense was searching for a defense for Rubio.
The defense attorney replied that instead of watching “Law and Order” the state prosecutors should try and read the book too. They might learn something from them.
Or course, all this back and forth went on before the judge walked.
Just which side won this courtroom duel? It was a tie…for now.
